Welcome to the Queen Victoria, Priddy

Due to these uncertain times we are having to adapt and adopt new thinking and new strategies to make You our brilliant customers ,our great staff and of course Debs and myself safe . After 3 months of closure during which The Vic has had a subtle makeover (We like it and I am sure so will you )and in the last week or two we have implemented ways of keeping us all feeling and being safe .Sorry no groups over 6 as in government rules and only 2 households on tables inside .

Please just follow our guidelines and we will make your visit one you can feel confident in . We are having to keep the playground closed so no children under 10 for the time being . Sorry I do understand as I’ve been made a grandad again twice in lockdown ,Arthur and Max . As soon as we can we will .We have started serving food again ,a smaller restricted menu . Before you call ….Yes The Pies back on !! Homemade Pizza to eat in or takeaway now available .And now read on for the spiel

The Queen Victoria Inn is your typical country pub placed near the summit of the Mendip hills at almost 1,000 feet above sea level. It began it’s life as a pub in the late 1800s and contains many of it’s original features including wonderful flagstone flooring, huge fireplaces and beamed ceilings. It has as much charm and character from the outside as it does inside, built with natural stone set off with creeper cladding.

The for all seasons and for all reasons local pub is without doubt the best place to refresh after a long walk in the surrounding countryside, or a hard daysallwelcome caving.

Whether your local to the area or escaping city life for the afternoon you are welcome to share it with us at the Queen Victoria, you can even bring your dog and relax in the warmth from our two roaring  log burners.

At the Queen Victoria we offer 3 real ales and 6 ciders. With Butcombe bitter and Rare Breed and a rotating guest ale . And being in Somerset we cannot fail to mention our cider offering. Being the most popular drink by miles (especially in the summer months) we have the wonderfully crisp and refreshing Ashton Press, or Thatcher’s dry and the Orchard Pig. For something a little stronger you may want to try the farmhouse ,Harrys Haymaker made in Long Sutton Somerset, also we have Rosie Pig and Rosies Rhubard both of which are cloudy still ciders .

When it comes to our food we pride ourselves on sourcing our products locally and cooking good quality home made food for every pocket .Food is served everyday.
